The Soufriere region, with the famous Pitons, now a World Heritage Site, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in all the Caribbean. Add in the Diamond Falls & Botanical Gardens, the Sulphur Springs ‘drive-in’ volcano and several local waterfalls, you will find yourself in the midst of St. Lucia’s most visited attractions.
And for a day’s excursion, you can venture north, south or completely around the island. The island’s capital, Castries, the Rodney Bay tourist center and Pigeon Island National Landmark and picturesque Marigot Bay are can be enjoyed while exploring to the north. Excellent duty free shopping is available at Pointe Seraphine in Castries.
The West Coast Road, north or south, presents a myriad of spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. Venture to the east coast and you’ll find rugged landscapes of the windswept Atlantic Ocean.
